چکیده

Abstract Herpes simplex virus is among the most prevalent sexually transmitted infections. Acyclovir a potent, selective inhibitor of herpes viruses and it indicated for treatment management recurrent cold sores on lips face, genital herpes, other diseases. The problem oral bioavailability acyclovir limited because low permeability across gastrointestinal membrane. use nanoparticles pseudoboehmite as drug delivery system in vitro assays promising approach to further release. Here we report synthesis high purity from aluminium nitrate ammonium hydroxide containing nanoparticles, using sol–gel method, improve systemic acyclovir. presence were verified by infrared spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction techniques. In vivo tests performed with Wistar rats compare release acyclovir, without addition pseudoboehmite. administration increased content 4.6 times plasma after 4 h administration. We determined that toxicity up 10 mg/mL, gel dried nanoparticles.

Phytosome: Drug Delivery System for Polyphenolic Phytoconstituents

Several plant extracts and phytoconstituents, despite having excellent bioactivity in vitro, demonstrate less or no in vivo actions due to their poor lipid solubility or improper molecular size or destruction in gut. Drug delivery system for polyphenolic phytoconstituents (phytosomes) was prepared by complexing polyphenolic phytoconstituents with phospholipid mainly phosphatidylcholine wh...

Design and Optimization of Floating Drug Delivery System of Acyclovir

The purpose of the present work was to design and optimize floating drug delivery systems of acyclovir using psyllium husk and hydroxypropylmethylcellulose K4M as the polymers and sodium bicarbonate as a gas generating agent. The tablets were prepared by wet granulation method. A 3(2) full factorial design was used for optimization of drug release profile. The amount of psyllium husk (X1) and h...
